
Sarah Gross
Dean of Family & Student Experience
Sarah Gross serves as the Dean of Student and Family Experience for Optima Independent. She believes that building a solid, supportive community of families, faculty and students is key to helping students become the best versions of themselves both in and out of school. As Dean of Student and Family Experience, her focus is on building community, connection, wellness and solid social-emotional foundation.
Sarah has been in the education and counseling field for over 20 years with work in counseling and wellness, assessment, student life, curriculum development, student support services and service-learning. Sarah holds a Master's degree in School Counseling from Wake Forest University and an undergraduate degree from University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!).
Sarah resides in Alpharetta, Georgia with her husband Joe and three teenagers Noah, Ella and Jacob. In her spare time, Sarah and her family aim to practice what they preach about community, wellness and living your best life. They fill their time traveling to new places, volunteering, taking in local music, restaurants and events, and maintaining an active lifestyle with weekly workouts and outdoor activities.
